ic! berlin

Glasses without hinges and screws

In 1997, the signs of the rift between East and West Berlin were still carved into the city. Amid that atmosphere of change, young Ralph Anderl invented ic! berlin, an eyewear brand fuelled by one special innovation: temples and frame fronts united by a one-of-a-kind interlocking system instead of traditional hinges and screws. Over twenty years have passed since then, yet the creations from ic! berlin are still made in the same way: free of easy-to-lose screws and hinges that might break. Durable and practical, their partly sci-fi, partly vintage look gives them an authoritative yet ironic, captivating yet playful spirit.
