Crisafulli Eyewear was founded in 1965 in Milan with a precise mission: to present glasses as an accessory to be worn with enthusiasm rather than as an inert medical device for the correction of a visual defect.

It was 1965 when the optician Sebastiano Crisafulli opened his first store in Milan. These were years in which glasses were considered only a medical device to correct a visual defect. Factors such as style, aesthetics and comfort ended up in the background or were even completely neglected.
Sebastiano Crisafulli realized the need for a new and different approach. He understood that eyeglasses had to be an all-around accessory capable of improving vision while enhancing the shape of the face of those wearing them.
Sebastiano was a specialized expert who assessed vision problems and observed the shape and proportions of the face. For this new business, which combined well-being, aesthetics and optics, Crisafulli offered sophisticated eyeglasses with original shapes and unique colors, as well as refined frames handcrafted by the world’s best artisans. He adopted the use of ultra-light lenses equipped with state-of-the-art treatments and trained his staff to become true image consultants.

In 1969 Crisafulli moved to Galleria del Corso 4, a centrally located address easy to reach by anyone, just a few steps from Duomo. On the door of that new boutique there was a sign saying “Optical aesthetics studio”, a true declaration of purpose that underlined the desire to satisfy both the need to see well and the need to feel at ease when wearing eyeglasses.
Today Crisafulli Eyewear is run by Fabrizio, Sebastiano’s son. His boutique is a center for image consulting where you can find complete solutions which meet the need for clear vision as well as the desire for aesthetics and harmony.
